American Founders Bank is seeking a Senior Banker at the Hurstbourne branch location! 

The Senior Banker position is a sales and operational role designed to provide leadership in the financial center and be responsible for directing operational activities including providing exceptional customer service, maintaining monthly sales production targets, staff training and consistent operational efficiency.


  • Creates and maintains a strong customer service environment in the financial centers.
  • Ensures operational efficiency in both processes and procedures with the day-to-day branch operations with minimal error.
  • Coordinates the daily and weekly scheduling for the financial center.
  • Reviews and evaluates regular reports of branch activities, transactional, overdrafts, charge-offs, error logs and audits to help the branch stay within error thresholds while achieving performance goals
  • Regular reporting of operational performance results to management.
  • Completes the retail operational audits (FCA) with minimal errors
  • Assures financial center location and equipment is adequate and in proper working order.
  • Ensures successful opening and closing process of financial center with minimal error.
  • Ensures proper cash handling procedures are followed by financial center employees.
  • Monitors overall branch security to include inspections, equipment testing, coordinating repairs and reporting. Monitors maintenance of premises and equipment.
  • Provides retail operational training to new financial center employees
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all bank products and services to assist branch employees as required
  • Follow the sales process for small business customers and consumers, including opening deposit accounts and closing loans.
  • Promote sales culture and ensure that the staff receives proper training to demonstrate abilities to sell and cross-sell bank product and services to reach individual and branch sales goals.
  • Executes and reports on bank's marketing campaigns to management
  • Serve as the liaison between the branch and various departments to ensure full communication and understanding of all company policies and procedures
  • Ensures that bank policies and procedures are consistently and uniformly applied by financial center with minimal error.
  • Assists with the creation of training and developmental plans for each team member with ongoing assessments
  • Reviews and approves CTR's. Monitors BSA activities in the branch.
  • Assists in providing compliance training for retail employees including Bank Secrecy.
  • Recommends program changes to more efficiently and effectively support services offered.
  • Adheres to all bank procedures, regulations (state and federal) and internal policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to handle sensitive documents or other confidential information.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to perform multiple job functions and tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of employees, officers, and directors.
  • Good attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and deal tactfully with customers.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years banking experience, preferably 3-4 years of experience. 
  • Demonstrated background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal), employee development and public relations.
  • Superior knowledge of the bank's processes, procedures and workflow.
  • Excellent computer skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
